Coursework mark scheme is a system of evaluating student’s work. Every student can get an excellent as well as a poor grade on the project he or she has done. So, in this article the major criteria of coursework evaluation according to a generally accepted mark scheme will be presented.

• Excellent grade. If you fulfilled all the requirements for your coursework, you can get an excellent grade according to such coursework mark schemes. You will have to cover your topic fully, show your research abilities, critical thinking and perfect writing skills. If, at least, one of these requirements is ignored, you will get a lower grade;
• Good. Good means okay but not perfect. So, according to the coursework mark scheme, a good grade means that something is missing in your coursework or any of the requirements was ignored. That is why, if you did not manage to cover the topic of your coursework fully, but managed to show your research abilities along with critical thinking and writing skills, the grade that you deserve on your university coursework is “good”;
• Satisfactory. “Satisfactory” is rather bad than good. It means that your project is not that properly done, though it is still acceptable. The coursework mark scheme will not allow you to get a high grade if you ignored more than 2 requirements for your coursework;

• Unsatisfactory. The coursework mark scheme includes an unsatisfactory grade that you may get if you did not make your paper in an appropriate way. According to the coursework mark schemes, if a student neither covered his/her topic fully, nor showed necessary abilities, his or her work will not be acceptable at all.

The coursework mark scheme was created for students to know exactly what grades their projects deserve and improve them in case something is wrong. Mark scheme also help tutors evaluate students abilities and projects.
